Your journey will begin in Tanzania at the foothills of Mt Meru and end on the seemingly endless plains of the Maasai Mara.

Itinerary

Day 1

Accommodation: Mt Meru Hotel

Day one is your arrival day. You will fly into Kilimanjaro international Airport where your shuttle will be waiting. From there you will drive to Mt Meru Hotel, a luxurious property in Arusha, which is situated on 15 acres of landscaped gardens with a backdrop of Mount Meru, Africas fifth highest peak.

The property has various bars, restaurants, a pool with a children’s area and a 9 course golf course.

Day 2

Accommodation: Kitela Lodge

Meals: All meals inclusive

This exclusive lodge is located within the incredible highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. After your breakfast at Mt Meru lodge, you will take a scenic drive, spotting wildlife along the way, and arrive at Kitela lodge in time for lunch. Your afternoon can be spent rejuvenating at the Spa, relaxing at the swimming pool, taking a walk around the farm or enjoying the spectacular views from the main area terrace.

Day 3

Accommodation: Kitela Lodge

Time for a little adventure. On day 3, you will get out and explore the Ngorongoro crater, an extinct volcano which was created when a large volcano exploded and collapsed on itself. The crater is now home to a diverse and unique ecosystem and many of Africas famed animal roam the landscapes. Find yourself amidst forests, swamps, grasslands and lakes, all while spotting lions, rhinos, wildebeest and more.

After a long days excursion you will be taken back to the lodge for evening cocktails and dinner, where you can unwind and reminisce about the days sightings.

Day 4-5

Accommodation: Ndutu Safari Lodge

Meals: All meals included

Your next stay is located in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area on the edge of the Southern Serengeti plains. After breakfast at Kitela, you will depart by road to Ndutu Lodge, spotting wildlife along the way. You will arrive in time for lunch and have some time to settle in before departing on a late afternoon game drive in search of predators and other game viewing.

You will be back at the lodge in time to enjoy a cocktail while watching the sun go down over the ever-changing view of Lake Ndutu. The evening will end with conversations around the campfire and a four course dinner.

Day 6

Accommodation: Ndutu Safari Lodge

A full day of game viewing awaits you. Your knowledgeable driver and guide will be tracking wildlife movements all day to try ensure as many sightings as possible. Lunch will either be had somewhere in the Serengeti plains with a pre packed picnic or you will return to camp for lunch and some downtime. High Tea is at 15:30 and is preceded by an afternoon game drive.

The day will end with dinner back at the camp, under a star lit sky. Enjoy drinks and conversations around the cozy campfire and reminisce on the days sightings.

Day 7

Accommodation: Mara Serena Lodge

To get to your next destination you will need to take a short flight from a local airstrip. It’s time to explore some of what Kenya has to offer, at the magical and world famous Maasai Mara National Reserve. The Mara Serena Lodge is the only safari lodge situated in the mara triangle. The lodge is perched on a hill providing sweeping views of grasslands spotted with migrating wildebeest. Upon arrival you will be treated to lunch before setting off on your first game drive in the Mara.

Day 8-9

Game viewing scenarios in the Mara are virtually endless and the next two days at Mara Serena Lodge will be filled to the brim with wildlife. Lions and Cheetahs can be seen throughout the park and large herds of Elephants, Buffalos, Zebras, and Giraffes are regularly spotted. Home to what has been termed “The greatest wildlife spectacle on planet earth” the Maasai Mara is the destination of the annual wildebeest migration where hundreds of thousands of wildebeest, Zebras and Gazelles move across the savannah.

There are plenty of activities other than game drives offered at Mara Serena to keep you busy. Take a Balloon Safari, Nature walks, night game drives or visit the Maasai village.

Day 10

On the last day of your Africa adventure you will have a breakfast and say goodbye before being transferred to Nairobi for your onward flight.
