You will begin in the bustling city of Nairobi before heading to the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, the largest black rhino conservancy in East Africa. In the Great Rift Valley you will get the opportunity to explore Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha and the trip will end at the magnificent Masai Mara reserve where you will be treated to one of Africas best safari experiences.

Itinerary

Day 1-2

Accommodation: The Boma Hotel

Meals: Breakfast included

Your 10 day Kenya package starts in the bustling city of Nairobi, Africas 4th largest city. Your flight will land at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and you will be transferred to The Boma Hotel, a luxury deluxe hotel and spa. Depending on your time of arrival, various activities can be organised such as museum excursions and trips into the city centre where you can get a sneak peak of the cities cafe culture or nightlife.

Your second day will begin with breakfast and a Nairobi city tour which includes a stop at Kazuri Bead Factory, a social enterprise established in 1975, a trip to the Giraffe centre where you will learn about the Rothschild Giraffe and a visit to the very well known Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage where you will get to meet some young orphaned elephants.
The evening will end back at the Hotel where you can relax and enjoy dinner at your own leisure.

Day 3-4

Accommodation: Sweetwaters Tented Camp

Meals: All meals included

After breakfast at The Boma Hotel, you will start the drive to your next destination where you will cross the equator and your driver will stop so you can take a photo. The second destination on your trip is in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, the largest black rhino conservancy in East Africa. Sweetwaters tented camp features thirty nine luxury tents, each with their own veranda overlooking a watering hole. Located on the plains of Mount Kenya, the camp has various facilities including The Rhino Restaurant which is in the former managers house of his once colonial farm, the Waterhole Bar which has been built in the style of a game viewing hide, a swimming pool and extensive grounds.

After arriving you will enjoy lunch followed by an afternoon game drive.

Your second day will include a game drive where you will learn all about the reserve, collecting data in an activity workbook as you go, and a visit to the Chimpanzee Sanctuary. At the end of the day you will meet one of the Tourism Rangers at the Morani Information Centre who will review your data collection and will administer the ranger oath along with presenting you a ranger hat and honorary certificate (activity for children).

Day 5

Accommodation: Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge

Meals: All meals included

After breakfast you will take a slow game drive while making your way to Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge which is home to flocks of lesser flamingos, hippos, buffalo, black and white rhino and the Rothschild giraffe. During the drive you will stop for lunch and a visit to Thomson’s Falls and once you arrive at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge you will embark on a game drive.

The lodge is located on a range of hills that form the western limits of Africas Great Rift Valley and thus offers incredible views over African landscapes and Lake Nakuru.

Day 6

Accommodation: Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort

Meals: All meals included

You will depart Lake Nakuru and make your way down to Lake Naivasha, one of the few freshwater lakes found in the rift valley. The day will include some exciting activities such as a bot trip on the lake and a guided walking safari on Crescent Island.

The lodge is set on grasslands studded with acacia trees and is home to much of the areas wildlife. Explore the cultivated gardens, spend time in the swimming pool or unwind on the shaded lounge patio.

Day 7-8

Accommodation: Mara Serena Safari Lodge

Meals: All meals included

It’s time to explore the magical and world famous Masai Mara National Reserve. The Mara Serena Lodge is the only safari lodge situated in the mara triangle. The lodge is perched on a hill providing sweeping views of grasslands spotted with migrating wildebeest. Aside from traditional vehicle safaris, hot-air ballooning over the Mara plains has become almost essential and you can even do a horseback safari.

Day 9

Accommodation: The Boma Hotel

Enjoy breakfast Mara Serena Safari Lodge before departing back across the Great Rift Valley to bustling Nairobi. Here you will have the evening to relax and unwind, reflecting upon your African adventure.

Day 10

Departure day will include breakfast at The Boma Hotel and a shuttle back to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport
