This 10 Namibia package will open your eyes to everything this contrast filled country has to offer. From infinite desert dunes, to UNESCO world heritage sites, Safaris at Etosha and exploring the historical town of Swakopmund, the trip will show you everything this wonderfully diverse country has to offer in just 10 days.
Day 1-2
Accommodation: Sossusvlei Lodge

Your journey will being at Windhoek Airport where you will collect your car rental and drive towards Sossusvlei. You will need to make a pit stop along the route at Solitaire to refill your tank, a great time to stock up on road trip snacks. You will have had an early start and should catch the sunrise glow over the desert. You will pass through Sesriem on your way to Sossusvlei and once you arrive you will be surrounded by dunes including the famous Dune 45 which you can climb to get awe inspiring views of the surrounding desert. After that you will head the short distance to your lodge.
Sossusvlei lodge is adjacent to the oldest desert in the world and you can spend your first evening at the lodge enjoying a glass of wine and dinner on the al fresco terrace which has magnificent views of the floodlit waterhole and the animals surrounding it.
On day 2, after you’ve enjoyed your breakfast, you can take a walk through the desert in the cool morning breeze and possibly spot some ostriches or springbok. In the afternoon we recommend you take the 10 minute drive to Sesriem Canyon, a natural gorge that was carved millions of years ago. You can then head back to the lodge for a relaxing evening.
Day 3
Accommodation: Swakopmund Sands

On day 3 you will be introduced to a place where the desert meet sea. On the drive to Swakopmound you will cross the Tropic of Capricorn and transverse the beautiful cliff side gravel roads of the Gaub and the Kuiseb passes. You will drive through Walvis Bay along the coast, a great seaside town for a pit stop on your journey. The town is known for its enormous flocks of lesser and greater flamingos which populate the lagoons, it also offers activities like dolphin cruises and a visit to the Salt work, a large salt pan that provides 90% of South Africa’s salt. After your stop off head straight to Swakopmund where upon arrival you will be treated to dinner at a local restaurant which is included in the tour.
Day 4
Accommodation: Swakopmund Sands

On day 4 your Swakopmund stay will continue after a breakfast at the guest house. A Living Desert Experience tour has been arranged for after your breakfast where you will have the opportunity to learn more abut the interesting animals and organisms that live in the desert and hide beneath the dunes.
The rest of the day will be free for you to explore the Swakopmund area and you have the option to either book your own activities or we can happily assist you in advance. Swakopmund is the adventure hub of Namibia and there are so many to choose from. Take to the skies and see the desert from above in a skydive, micro light or scenic flight. Fully embrace the sandy dunes while sand boarding down them or quad biking over them. Take a township tour or a historical tour of the town. The options are many.
Day 5
Accommodation: Twyfelfontein Country Lodge

Today we set off for the next destination, Damaraland. A Rugged and untamed region of Namibia that is home to a variety of desert-adapted wildlife such as elephant, rhino, zebra and lion. From Swakopmund you will head towards Skeleton Coast and we recommend making a stop off at Cape Cross, one of the biggest Cape fur seal colonies in the world. Continue your drive and make sure to fill up with fuel and supplies in the tiny town of Uis. The drive towards Twyfelfontein will take you past Brandberg Mountain, also known as the burning mountain, which is the highest mountain in Namibia. You should arrive at Twyfelfontein just in time to watch the sunset from the deck of the lodge.
Day 6
Accommodation: Palmwag Lodge

After spending the night at Twyfelfontein Country Lodge, you will get to explore the area a bit more. The area home to the largest concentrations of rock carvings in Africa and is a UNESCO world heritage site. Explore the area and all it has to offer with your guide before the 2 hour drive to Palmwag Lodge.
Day 7-8
Accommodation: Etosha Safari Lodge

The day will start with breakfast and then you are off on a organised half-day rhino tracking excursion with an experienced guide. On the way to the next destination, why not make a stop at Himba Village and learn about the ways of the last remaining traditional tribe in Namibia. The next destination on your trip is located just outside of Etosha National Park and is the perfect introduction to an African Safari. The lodge overlooks a mopane woodland and has a deck perfect for watching the sunset over the surrounding landscape.
The next day you will wake up at Etosha Safari lodge and go for a day safari in Etosha National Park. Entering the park from the South, you will visit various waterholes before lunch at Okaukuejo, a camp within the park that overlooks a watering hole.
Day 9
Accommodation: Okonjima Lodge

Okonjima Game Reserve is on todays agenda. Start your day with breakfast and then hit the road. The lodge is home to the AfriCat Foundation, who strive towards the long-term conservation of some of Namibia’s large carnivores. Okonjima Lodge is the perfect base location to explore the reserves 200 square kilometres of vast plains.
Day 10
Once you’ve had breakfast, you can visit the AfriCat Foundation to find out more about what they do. You will then depart to Windhoek where you will take your flight out.
