Kenyan Information for Travelers
In 2017, the World Travel Awards recognised Kenya as the World’s Leading Safari Destination. The place where wilderness safaris began, home to some of the highest and most diverse populations of wildlife on the planet, Kenya is a wildlife paradise. A destination that will stay with you long after departing.
Home to over 40 different tribes, over 68 languages, 6 unique world heritage sites, a bustling capital city, pristine tropical beaches along the coast, the big 5 and the infamous migration in the Mara, Kenya is sure to keep the whole family enthralled.
Kenya has numerous breathtaking landscapes including savannah, deserts, swamps, mountain and forests. The savannah plains of the Masai Mara Game Reserve are where the annual Great Migration take place. A natural phenomenon where almost two million animals move across the Serengeti and Mara plains in search of food and water. Many animals do not make it to the end of the journey as they face many dangers such as water crossing and predators. Amboseli National Park has views of the immense Mount Kilimanjaro and The Great Rift Valley, a geographical fault line, has a unique landscape dotted with lakes, forests and an abundance of wildlife.
As per most Safari destinations, Kenya is best visited in the dry season between June and October.
