This fly-in Namibia safari combines some of the country’s most distinctive desert, coastal and wildlife regions. Explore Sossusvlei and Deadvlei, fly above the Atlantic coastline, search for desert-adapted elephants in Damaraland and enjoy game viewing in Etosha National Park and Ongava Private Game Reserve.

The journey ends at Okonjima Nature Reserve, known for its predator conservation work and leopard-tracking experiences. With flights, transfers, accommodation and selected activities arranged throughout, the itinerary offers a comfortable and time-efficient way to experience Namibia’s contrasting landscapes.

Itinerary

Arrive at Hosea Kutako International Airport, where you will be met and assisted with check-in for your light-aircraft flight to NamibRand Nature Reserve. On arrival at the airstrip, transfer to Kwessi Dunes and settle into your desert surroundings.

Depending on your arrival time, you may join an afternoon lodge activity.

Depart early to explore the Namib Desert’s most famous landmarks. Visit the towering dunes of Sossusvlei, walk across the striking white clay pan of Deadvlei and continue to Sesriem Canyon for a scenic exploration of this remarkable desert landscape.

Return to the lodge for time to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Fly from NamibRand to Swakopmund, enjoying aerial views of the dunes surrounding Sossusvlei. Weather permitting, the route continues along the Atlantic coastline, passing Conception Bay, Sandwich Harbour and its lagoon.

On arrival, transfer from the airport to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure to explore Swakopmund or relax at the coast.

Transfer to Swakopmund Airport and board your flight to Twyfelfontein in Damaraland. After arriving and settling in at Camp Kipwe, join an included excursion to explore the surrounding area.

Set out early to search for desert-adapted elephants in Damaraland’s rugged landscapes. The excursion offers an opportunity to see how these remarkable animals have adapted to one of Namibia’s driest regions.

Return to Camp Kipwe for the remainder of the day.

After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Ongava Private Game Reserve, situated along the southern boundary of Etosha National Park. A guide will meet you at Ongava’s private airstrip and transfer you to the lodge.

Depending on your arrival time, join an afternoon game drive in the reserve.

Begin the day with a guided game drive in Etosha National Park, known for its open plains, productive waterholes and diverse wildlife. Return to the lodge for lunch and time to rest before exploring Ongava Private Game Reserve on an afternoon drive.

After a final morning activity and breakfast, fly to Okonjima Nature Reserve. The reserve is known for its conservation work involving Namibia’s predators and provides excellent opportunities to learn more about leopard behaviour and protection.

In the afternoon, join a guided leopard-tracking experience.

After breakfast, fly back to Windhoek in time to connect with your onward journey. Allow sufficient time between the scheduled safari flight and your international departure in case of weather-related delays.

Terms

  • Travelling costs as per itinerary, game drives, activities, entrance- and park fees;
  • All accommodation as specified on a sharing basis;
  • Meals and drinks as specified;
  • Activities, excursions and road transfers as specified;
  • Air Taxi flights as specified (no private charter flights);
  • Accommodation taxes, the applicable Tourism Levies and all relevant VAT.
  • Expenses of a personal nature, i.e. laundry, telephone expenses, gratuities, porterage fees, etc.;
  • Any additional meals;
  • Any additional activities;
  • Any other scheduled flights and related taxes;
  • Visa fees where relevant (Visa payments are required in U$ Dollar cash –
  • Traveller’s cheques and credit cards are not accepted for this purpose);
  • Cancellation-, baggage-, medical- and evacuation insurance;
  • Any new Government taxes, levies, etc. which are beyond our control.
  • Services and accommodations are subject to availability at the time of booking;
  • Luggage allowance is strictly 20kg per person including hand luggage and camera equipment and it must be packed in a soft bag. If these limits above are exceeded, the excess luggage can be held (or forwarded to the point of exit) for your flight out at the end of the safari. Kindly note that the additional cost incurred will be for your account;
  • Please advise us before you travel if you are likely to have excess luggage, and we will make the necessary arrangements;
  • All Air Taxis only depart / fly in good weather conditions. It is to the suppliers discretion, what constitutes as good or bad weather conditions;
  • Should flights be cancelled due to bad weather conditions or any other reasons, the tour operator cannot be held liable for any additional costs that may arise, for any programme changes that might occur or for any other missed flights, be it domestic or international;
  • It is compulsory for all guests to have comprehensive cancellation-, default-, baggage-, emergency evacuation- and medical insurance for the duration of the trip;
  • The operator reserves the right to change the itinerary;
  • Services and accommodations are subject to availability at the time of booking;
  • All relevant booking conditions of the tour operator and booked service providers will apply to your travel arrangements;
  • The relevant cancellation policy applies should you fail to join or start your safari/journey for any reason, including airline delays or missed connection. Please ensure you have adequate travel insurance for this purpose. You become liable for cancellation penalties immediately on confirmation of booking services;
  • Passports must be valid (usually for at least 6 months after date of travel) and still have at least 3 blank visa (not endorsement) pages;
  • All visa requirements must be fulfilled and these are your responsibility.
