Description
This 18-day Namibia guided safari begins in Windhoek and travels south towards Fish River Canyon, Lüderitz, the Tiras Mountains and Sossusvlei. From there, the route continues north via Swakopmund, Palmwag and Damaraland before crossing Etosha National Park from south to east.
The journey ends with a stay at Okonjima Nature Reserve before returning to Windhoek. Accommodation, selected meals, park fees, activities and experienced English or German-speaking guiding are included.

Itinerary
Arrive at Hosea Kutako International Airport, where you will be met by your guide and transferred to Galton House for check-in. After settling in, enjoy a guided city tour of Windhoek.

After breakfast, depart Windhoek and travel via Rehoboth towards the red dunes of the Kalahari Desert. Arrive at Bagatelle Kalahari Game Lodge, where you will join a late afternoon guided game drive and learn more about the flora and fauna of the Kalahari.

Travel south through desert-dominated landscapes towards the Fish River Canyon, stopping at a picturesque Quiver Tree Forest and continuing via Keetmanshoop and Naute Dam. On the following day, explore the spectacular northern fringes of Fish River Canyon from various viewpoints.

Journey via the historic village of Aus and through the vast Diamond Prohibited Area to Lüderitz. During your stay, visit Kolmanskop, the atmospheric former diamond town that offers a fascinating glimpse into the region’s diamond boom.

Travel back through the Diamond Prohibited Area via Aus and Helmeringhausen to Farm Namtib, where you can experience daily life on a southern Namibian farm.

Travel through some of Namibia’s most spectacular scenery, passing vast savannah plains and mountain ranges on the way to the Sossusvlei region. The following morning, depart early into Namib-Naukluft National Park to visit Sossusvlei, the world-famous dunes and nearby Deadvlei, known for its striking dead acacia trees set against the desert landscape.

Travel north via Kuiseb Canyon to Swakopmund, with highlights en route including the Moon Landscape and the ancient Welwitschia mirabilis plant. In Swakopmund, enjoy the charm of this relaxed coastal town, framed by desert and sea.
The following day, take a scenic drive to Walvis Bay for a dolphin cruise with Laramon Tours. After approximately three hours on the water, return to Swakopmund with your guide.

Depart Swakopmund along the Atlantic Coast, visiting the lichen fields near Wlotzka’s Baken, Henties Bay and the Cape Cross seal colony. Continue through the southern Skeleton Coast Park to see a shipwreck before travelling into the rugged landscapes of Damaraland.
The next day, enjoy a rhino tracking excursion on foot in the Klip River Valley, led by dedicated guides and local trackers. This carefully managed experience is designed to be natural and non-intrusive for the animals.

Travel via Grootberg Pass and Kamanjab to Etosha National Park, arriving at Okaukuejo Restcamp in the afternoon. Over the next two days, explore the park from south to east, with time spent watching for wildlife at waterholes and searching for Etosha’s abundant animals, including the Big Five.
