DAY 1: Transfer from Johannesburg & Sunset / Night safari (Lunch & Dinner):

Between 6:30 and 6:45 am, guests will be picked up from a variety of lodges and hotels located within a 5-kilometer radius of OR Tambo International Airport. From there, they will board the shuttle and bus terminal between 6:45 and 7:00 am, leaving at 7:15 am.

Customers can fly straight into Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport or Skukuza Kruger National Park, and their safari guide will pick them up for free.

The 7 days before the tour, please confirm your pickup information with travel@familysafarisbookings.com.

Note that these are departures that are shared. We will arrive at our Hazyview resort between 11:30 am and 12:00 pm after making the direct trip there. After having time to unwind, unpack, and eat a little lunch, guests can swim or take a stroll around the lovely Lodge and walking route. We leave for a sunset/night safari in the Kruger National Park at roughly 15.45 p.m., and we return to the lodge for a delicious dinner and a restful night's sleep at around 20 p.m.

Day 2: Full Day open vehicle safari in the Kruger National Park (Breakfast & Dinner)

Since Mpumalanga is the first province in South Africa to witness the sunrise, all safaris begin before the sun rises. This is the highlight of the day; we have no idea what to anticipate. After a quick trip to the park, we approach the gates, and your guide will know where to look for animals, such as the Big 5 and plains game. It is also the greatest time of day to spot predators.

After roughly three hours, your guide will pause for breakfast, a restroom break, and an opportunity to grab coffee. The Lodge will set up breakfast packets. We then carry on with your safari; Kruger has a number of eco zones, each of which is home to a distinct diversity of species. We explore plains and Bushveld areas, as well as rivers and watering holes.

After lunch at a rest camp, where you are responsible for paying for your own food, it is time to go shopping or have a refreshing drink! After that, the guide will lead the safari back to the resort, where we will arrive between 15.30 and 16.00 pm. There, we may unwind, swim, and have a delicious meal.

DAY 3: Full Day Panorama safari (Breakfast & Dinner)

See the town of Graskop, the three rondavels, the Lisbon waterfall, the Blyde River Canyon (the third largest canyon in the world), God's Window, and the Bourkes Luck Potholes.

Your guide will meet you in a closed, air-conditioned car at 8 a.m. today after we begin with a delectable hot breakfast at the lodge at 7.30 a.m. From Hazyview, the Panorama route begins after a 45-minute drive; however, we ascend about 1000 meters to reach the Northern Drakensburg Mountain range.

We take several beautiful treks, so please bring appropriate walking shoes and a jacket because the weather varies greatly from Hazyview.

On a clear day, one can see as far as Kruger and beyond from the 1,000-meter plunge below God's Window, which is accessible from the escarpment. Since there are paths and trails leading to the view sights at the numerous lookout locations, you will need appropriate walking shoes. The trip through a natural rainforest is worthwhile, although it takes an average person about 15 to 20 minutes to reach the top.

Over hundreds of years, water erosion produced the breathtaking natural structure known as Bourkes Luck Potholes. The red sandstone at the confluence of the Treur and Blyde rivers is home to the round carvings and varying-sized holes known as the Bourke's Luck potholes. Your guides will give you an overview of the area's history. Visitors can cross the chasms using tiny foot bridges while observing the water seeping through the holes and fissures. It is a wonderful stroll of approximately 1 km, and we spend about an hour here. There are also a number of little yet lovely waterfalls scattered across the region.

The third-largest canyon in the world is the Blyde River Canyon. The canyon is more than 40 kilometers long and up to 1,200 meters deep. With rivers and dams forming the canyon floor, the canyon is home to an abundance of vegetation. Visitors can view the three Rondavels, another highlight of the Panorama Tour, from a particular vantage point on the canyon. These three outcrops, which stand out sharply from the surrounding environment, are known as the Rondavels because they resemble the traditional huts that are frequently constructed in Africa.

The guides will also go to Lisbon Falls, a stunning cascade with a steady flow of water all year long. Our lunch destination for the day will be the Highveld village of Graskop, which is well-known for its delicious pancakes. There are also some fantastic local stores there, and guests will have opportunity to have a wander around the town.

After a fantastic day, return to the lodge around 4 p.m., have dinner, a swim, and a drink before an early start for your final morning safari in Kruger.

DAY 4: Morning safari and Afternoon at Leisure (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner included)

Since predators are most active in the early hours of the day, we always leave before sunrise, which is the ideal time of day to see animals. With over 500 bird species and 148 mammal species in the Kruger National Park, there is always something to see; no safari is ever the same. Your guide will concentrate on creatures and areas that have not been seen or explored yet.

Due to the vast network of roads in Kruger, safari guides will visit different parts of the park throughout different seasons, allowing visitors to witness more wildlife and the stunning landscape.

Around 12:00 PM, we head back to the resort. Today, we have a free afternoon to swim, take some wonderful hikes around the lodges, see the local bears, or simply take in the wonderful African weather. The lodge will serve a delicious dinner and a light lunch.

DAY 5: Morning safari and Transfer back to Johannesburg (Breakfast)

We will have another packed breakfast at one of the rest camps or picnic areas before leaving the lodge for the final safari before sunrise. Since lions and leopards are most active in the early mornings, the guide will concentrate on creatures that we were unable to see on the first two safaris. There are more than 500 bird species and 148 mammal species in the Kruger National Park. So much to see and capture on camera.

We will continue the safari after a brief stop for coffee and breakfast, arriving back at the lodge at around noon.

Here, you bid your guide farewell and get changed before returning to Johannesburg. Clients are picked up by the shuttle at approximately 12.30 PM, and we arrive between 17:00 and 18:00 PM at the Johannesburg OR Tambo shuttle station and lodges within a 5-kilometer radius.
