Itinerary

Day 1: Johannesburg to Kruger & Sunset / Night Safari

Meals included: Lunch & Dinner

Guests are collected between 06:30 and 06:45 from lodges and hotels within a 5 km radius of OR Tambo International Airport, before boarding the shuttle between 06:45 and 07:00 and departing at 07:15.

Please confirm your pick-up details at least 7 days prior to departure by emailing travel@familysafarisbookings.com.

Arrival at the lodge near Hazyview is between 11:30 and 12:00. After time to relax, unpack, and enjoy lunch, guests can swim or explore the lodge grounds.

At approximately 15:45, depart for a sunset and night safari in Kruger National Park, returning to the lodge around 20:00 for dinner and overnight rest.

Day 2: Full-Day Open Vehicle Safari in Kruger

Meals included: Breakfast & Dinner

Depart before sunrise for a full-day open vehicle safari. Early mornings offer the best chances of spotting predators, including lions and leopards, as well as plains game and birdlife.

After approximately three hours, stop for breakfast, restroom facilities, and coffee (breakfast packs provided). The safari continues through multiple ecological zones, including rivers, watering holes, bushveld, and open plains.

Lunch is enjoyed at a rest camp (at own expense), followed by time to shop or relax. Return to the lodge between 15:30 and 16:00, with time to unwind and swim before dinner.

Day 3: Morning Safari & Return to Johannesburg

Meals included: Breakfast

A final early morning safari departs before sunrise, focusing on areas not yet explored and species missed on previous drives. With over 500 bird species and 148 mammal species, every drive offers something new.

After a short stop for coffee and breakfast, continue the safari before returning to the lodge around 12:00.

Guests depart Hazyview at approximately 12:30, arriving back at OR Tambo International Airport between 17:00 and 18:00
