Itinerary
Meet your local guide this morning and begin your journey along the picturesque Garden Route. Ascend Sir Lowry’s Pass for breathtaking views before travelling through the lush mountains and orchards of Grabouw and Elgin. Stop at a local farmstall to sample regional treats before continuing to Cape Agulhas, the official meeting point of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans at Africa’s southernmost tip.
After exploring the historic lighthouse and rugged coastline, travel via the scenic Tradouw Pass and Swellendam to the iconic Route 62. Arrive in Oudtshoorn, the ostrich capital of the world, where you will enjoy a dinner featuring regional specialties like ostrich steak at a local farm.

After a leisurely breakfast, explore the spectacular limestone chambers of the Cango Caves, a world-renowned natural wonder. Continue to a working ostrich farm for an interactive, hands-on tractor tour to learn about the history and importance of ostrich farming in the Klein Karoo.
Following the tour, enjoy a wine tasting to sample some of the region’s finest local vintages. The remainder of the afternoon is at your leisure to enjoy the quiet charm of the town.

Arrive in Knysna, the “oyster box” of South Africa, nestled on the banks of a stunning lagoon. After a lunch featuring traditional regional fare, enjoy free time to explore the town’s boutiques and waterfront. In the late afternoon, board a sunset lagoon cruise to the iconic Knysna Heads.
