Itinerary
Accommodation: Pom Pom Camp
Your journey begins at Maun Airport, where you’ll board a light aircraft for a scenic flight over the shimmering channels of the Okavango Delta. Upon landing, you’ll be met at the airstrip and transferred to Pom Pom Camp. Located on the western boundary of the Moremi Game Reserve, this eco-friendly camp is nestled in an area famous for its stunning scenery and incredible year-round wildlife sightings.
You’ll have two days to immerse yourself in the Delta lifestyle. Whether you’re heading out on morning and evening game drives, exploring the lily-filled lagoons by mokoro, or joining a boat cruise, there is plenty to see. For those who enjoy a slower pace, seasonal fishing is also an option. To make your stay even more seamless, laundry service is included. The camp itself is a model of sustainability, featuring a family tent and the latest in solar power and waste disposal technology.
Accommodation: Mma Dinare
After a final morning game drive and breakfast at Pom Pom, you’ll take another short bush flight to the south-eastern side of the Delta. Your destination is Mma Dinare, a camp set within a private concession that overlooks a vast, wildlife-rich floodplain.
Because the camp is in a private area, your safari experience expands. In addition to traditional day drives, you can head out on night game tracking to spot nocturnal predators and take part in seasonal guided game walks for a closer look at the bush. During the wetter months, seasonal water activities are also available. Like its sister camp, Mma Dinare is a 100% eco-friendly development, using advanced solar and waste technology to ensure your visit has a minimal footprint on this pristine environment.
Enjoy one last breakfast overlooking the floodplain before a short flight whisks you back to Maun International Airport. You’ll arrive in plenty of time to check in for your onward journey, leaving with a deep appreciation for the “real soul of Africa.”
