Description
Your journey begins in Cape Town with a stay at the V&A Hotel, right on the waterfront and within easy reach of the city’s main sights, beaches and vibrant harbour. Guided tours take you up Table Mountain and along the Cape Peninsula, and you’ll also have time to explore local restaurants, galleries and coastal viewpoints at your own pace.
From there, you’ll continue into the Winelands for two nights at Franschhoek Boutique Hotel. With mountain scenery, award-winning wine estates and the popular wine tram, it’s an ideal base for a relaxed Cape Town and Winelands holiday.
The final leg of your Cape Town and Kruger safari takes you to Lukimbi Safari Lodge, set inside a private concession in Kruger National Park. The suites overlook the surrounding bush, and twice-daily game drives offer a good chance of spotting the Big Five along with plenty of other wildlife. Evenings at the lodge are peaceful, with open decks and dining areas that look out over seasonal riverbeds.

Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrive in Cape Town
Your South African adventure begins in Cape Town. You’ll land at Cape Town International Airport, where a local representative will meet you and take you to the Victoria & Alfred Hotel.
It’s right in the heart of the V&A Waterfront, so you can settle in, relax after your flight and enjoy the atmosphere. Shops, harbour views and excellent restaurants are all within walking distance.
Day 2 - Table Mountain & City Highlights
Today you’ll get a feel for the city on a private half-day tour. Weather permitting, you’ll take the cableway up Table Mountain with Fasttrack access for incredible views over Cape Town and the Atlantic coast. Your guide will also show you some of the city’s key landmarks before returning you to your hotel.
In the evening, you may want to head to Camps Bay for dinner. With its oceanfront restaurants and sunset views, it’s a favourite spot. If you enjoy seafood, The Codfather is a popular choice with a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
Day 3-4 - Cape Town tour continues
Day 3 is yours to spend however you like. Many travellers like to wander along the Waterfront, browse local boutiques, or visit Zeitz MOCAA, Africa’s leading contemporary art museum.
On Day 4, enjoy a full-day private Cape Peninsula tour. This scenic route includes Chapman’s Peak Drive, the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and, of course, the charming penguins at Boulders Beach. Expect dramatic viewpoints, beautiful beaches and plenty of photo stops along the way. You’ll return to your hotel in the late afternoon.
Day 5 - Cape Winelands
After breakfast and check-out, your driver will take you on a scenic one-hour drive to the historic town of Franschhoek, nestled in the heart of the Winelands. You’ll check into Franschhoek Boutique Hotel, surrounded by stunning vineyards and mountains. Spend the rest of the day exploring the town, visiting coffee shops, or taking the wine tram to nearby estates.
Day 6-8 - Safari begins in Kruger Park
This morning, you’ll fly from Cape Town to Skukuza Airport inside Kruger National Park. From here, it’s a short transfer to Lukimbi Safari Lodge, your home for the next three nights. The classic suites overlook the bush, and the lodge has a warm, welcoming feel.
Your stay includes morning and afternoon game drives with skilled rangers, giving you a good chance of seeing the Big Five. Adults can also join a guided bushwalk. Lukimbi is set within a private 15,000-hectare concession and is home to 147 mammal species, over 110 reptiles and 34 amphibians — so the game viewing is varied and rewarding. Between drives, you can relax on your private deck, by the pool or in one of the lodge’s open lounges overlooking the riverbed.
Day 9 - Departure
Enjoy one last morning game drive and a hearty breakfast before checking out. You’ll be transferred to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport for your flight to Cape Town or Johannesburg to connect with your onward journey.
